SignaCert Names Michael LaPeters as Senior Vice President of Sales

AUSTIN, TX — February 4, 2014 — SignaCert, the “Power of Being Correct”™ company that is revolutionizing I.T. compliance and change detection, today announced the addition of Michael LaPeters as senior vice president of sales. LaPeters brings a proven track record of designing, developing and leading direct and indirect sales teams, as well as marketing and customer success organizations. LaPeters comes to SignaCert from Cloudtools/Virtual Bridges, a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) provider, where he served as vice president of sales and marketing.

LaPeters joined Cloudtools/Virtual Bridges from SSD caching and VDI storage optimization provider, VeloBit (Acquired by HGST, a Western Digital Company), where he was vice president of worldwide sales. Before VeloBit, LaPeters’ impressive career included successful executive roles as vice president of North American SMB sales for AVG Technologies, vice president of channels at CA, vice president of worldwide sales for Winternals (acquired by Microsoft) and various revenue focused positions at VERITAS, Seagate Software and Arcada.

“SignaCert’s patented ‘Correctness Engine’ automatically identifies the incorrectly configured systems that lead to most major IT-related issues including security breaches, compliance audit failures, outages and poor performance,” said Toney Jennings, chief executive officer for SignaCert. “SignaCert’s customers will benefit tremendously from Mike’s ability to effectively communicate value, creatively match solutions to needs and facilitate an ongoing customer success program. I am very excited to have Mike on board as SignaCert accelerates into a hyper-growth phase.”

Because of the noise and accuracy issues of traditional compliance and file integrity monitoring (FIM) solutions, organizations have been put at greater risk and forced to demonstrate annual compliance via costly and infrequent manual audits. SignaCert Integrity, the only compliance and integrity monitoring solution that includes a database of more than four billion signatures of validated applications and files, rapidly identifies unauthorized changes that need immediate action by filtering out all systems that are correctly configured.
