Regulatory Compliance

FDCC

The Federal Desktop Core Configuration (FDCC) is an Office of Management and Budget (OMB) mandated security configuration. The FDCC utilizes the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), to ensure that all Federal Agencies standardize the configuration of approximately 300 settings on each of their Windows XP and Vista Computers.

SignaCert solutions automate the ability to prove FDCC compliance by actively assessing the state of deployed systems against the standard security configuration

SignaCert solutions automate the ability to prove compliance by actively assessing the state of IT systems against the FDCC. This helps to dramatically reduce manual compliance inspection, and allow for centralized reporting and management of your IT systems configuration.

SignaCert solutions prove FDCC compliance by:

  • Assessing the state of systems against the FDCC configuration settings
  • Detecting and alerting when deviations from the FDCC are found, and provide remediation steps to regain compliance
  • Generating reports that demonstrate historical FDCC compliance
